How To Buy A Firearm Online

Buying firearms online can be very easy, but certain procedures are necessary. Federal firearms laws mandate that 3G Tactical ship firearms only to a facility with a Federal Firearms License (FFL). We can ship to a local gun shop, pawn shop, gun range or any other location that holds a current FFL and is willing to help you with your transfer.

NOTE: You must be 18yrs or older to purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun) and 21yrs or older to purchase a handgun. Be sure to check your local & state laws.
To purchase your firearm and have us ship it, be sure to complete all of the following steps:

[1] Locate and make arrangements with a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder in your area
Find an FFL holder in your area that is willing to conduct the transfer (receive the firearm from 3G Tactical). Make sure that they are aware that a firearm will be sent to them on your behalf, and that they agree to this. Many gun shops, gun smiths, pawn shops, or gun ranges that operate with an FFL will perform the transfer for a fee. The fee is typically around $25 but may vary from state to state. If an FFL holder is unwilling to transfer a firearm for you, or charges an unreasonable amount for the transfer, you should consider taking your business to another FFL holder. In the event you have trouble finding an FFL holder in your area willing to do the transfer, please contact us as we may be able to help locate one for you. Verify with your FFL holder that the transfer of the weapon you want to order is legal to transfer to your area.

[2] Place your order online
Once you have verified that the firearm you wish to purchase meets all applicable laws of your state, county, or city, you may place the order for the firearm of your choice. Orders can be placed online via our secure website 24 hours a day 7 days a week, or contact us during business hours at (937) 506-8108 to place your order.

[3] Make final paperwork transfer arrangements with your Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder
We require two documents from your FFL holder in order to ship your firearm:

  • THE FIREARM TRANSFER FORM: Print and fill out our Firearm Transfer and Confirmation form. Note: The “order number” will not be known until you place your order online.
  • A COPY OF THE FFL HOLDER’S LICENSE: The FFL holder will need to send a signed copy of their license to us. Both documents can be sent to us in one of two ways:
Mail To:
  3G Tactical
135 E. Main St.
Tipp City, OH 45371
Fax To: (937) 506-8132
  * Recent changes by the BATF now allow you to fax a copy of your FFL holder's license to us. Be sure the fax is legible.

[4] Firearms shipment
Once we receive the necessary documentation (Firearm Transfer and Confirmation form, a signed copy of your FFL holders license) & payment, the item will be shipped to the FFL. Your item will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail.

Once your order has been shipped you will receive an email notification that includes basic information about your order such as a tracking/confirmation number and the ship-to address. Your firearm is shipped with a copy of our FFL as well as your contact information so that your local dealer has no problem contacting you upon arrival.

All in stock items will arrive in approximately 7-10 business days after the the order was placed, depending on location. All backorder and not in-stock items will arrive approximately 2-4 business days after the item arrives at our location.

[5] Firearm transfer
Once your FFL holder receives your firearm, you will need to make arrangements to pick it up from them. Your FFL holder is responsible for performing your background check and adhering to any other state or local laws affiliated with firearms transactions (see Section 6 below.)

IMPORTANT: When you receive your firearm, inspect it carefully. Verify it is the weapon you ordered and that there are no defects. Once you accept the transfer, the gun is yours and considered used. If the gun is not what you ordered or is damaged, do not accept transfer.
